If you are a British or studied/lived in the UK and currently working in Hong Kong, here's a piece good news to cure your homesickness!
Weeks ago I saw an M&S advert at the tube, announcing the FIRST food store opens in Hong Kong (in Asia as well). I was intrigued to pay a visit but didn't really have time to go until I returned from a 2 weeks' trip in London and felt horribly in need of the British smell!
This afternoon, after lunch with granny and mom, I suggested to went in the shop right around the corner. My tears nearly dropped when I saw the M&S sign. Once I stepped in, the mixed scents of freshly brewed coffee and muffins gave me a memory flash back!
From the frozen pizzas, ready meals, candies to the fruit salads - and of coz the tiny bakery section - I can say it is exactly the same as those you see else where around the UK!
Price wise, pretty much the same as in british pounds - but it's so worth to spend 10 quid on a giant cookie just to image I am in London again...
Thank god M&S made their first step to Hong Kong for the Asia market!
